Anyone know if there's a way to get plugging in a headset (microphone plus headphones, 3.5mm plug) to mute the analog audio output of a Advanced Mini Dock?
As would be expected, plugging in headphones mutes the onboard speakers. Plugging the T61p into the Mini Dock (with audio cable plugged in) also mutes the onboard speakers.
But the presence of headphones does not seem to be able to mute the external audio. (It did on my Dell dock, which is why I'm asking.)
No big deal if it just won't happen, but if there is a control panel or something somewhere to do this, it would be nice. Otherwise, I'll just have to remember to turn down the desktop speakers when I think I'm Skyping privately or editing audio late at night.
Thanks.
