Next Release T61p

I am new to the forums here, i have tried to search threads regarding the next release to the thinkpads. I am a developer and need a powerful machine, the T61p seems like the one for me, has anyone any idea of when the new range will be out?

there are a few speculative threads here but since nobody knows the general consensus is to see if the systems that are available now would be good for you for the next 6 months or so. IF they are then get it. If your current software is already too much then you can wait.
