DOS driver for USB port, A20m

#1 Post by cooper_n » Mon Apr 21, 2008 2:18 pm

Folks,
My Usb port works fine with Windows, but I require it to work in DOS for ghosting purposes. I have tried several of the popular DOS drivers for a Usb port, but although they recognise the A20m UHCI interface they do not mount my Usb memory stick(s). (Some of the drivers DO work okay on my Sony Vaio, eg. usbaspi.sys from Panasonic is okay, but Cypress Duse.exe does not work). The memory sticks work fine, they are not faulty, one is 100mb, the other is 4gb, different brands.
- Can anyone point me to a reliable Dos driver for my usb port?
- Does anyone know the 'brand' of the usb chipset that is used?
Thanks

FAT16 formatting will be the most compatible for DOS. A 4 GB partition size will be too large for most versions of DOS to see.

At http://johnson.tmfc.net/dos/usbdrv.html you will find a disk image that allows you to try various drivers until hopefully one works.
