Battery Driver Problem

#1 Post by pernalonga » Mon Apr 21, 2008 5:47 pm

Hi there,

Recently after trying to solve another issue i uninstalled the Battery Driver and now i can't put it back to operation.

Runing System Update does actually installs the Battery driver but afterwards it won't run.

How can i sort this out ? :(

Many thanks in advance

How exactly do you know that it's not running?

There is no icon in the taskbar - the green battery indicator, where there it used to be.

It's not the first time this happens.

I think you're getting the Battery Driver confused with the Power Manager. As for missing the icon in the taskbar, it's probably not enabled in Windows power settings.

you're right, it's Power Manager software.

It won't run.

It says PWRMGR.ocx specified module could not be found.

Any idea why ?

What version of Windows are you using? Vista or XP. I think there are two versions of Power Manager, one for each OS.

I'm using Windows XP SP2

System update doesn't mention any Power Manager Software update, nevertheless i don't seem to have it loaded in XP.

Here's a direct link to the program from Lenovo. I hope it's what you've been looking for.

Hi there,

Problem Solved.

Nevertheless it is strange that installing this software through System Update couldn't solve the problem.

Many thanks to You :)
