SP3 RTM is now available for download (500MB+) as an ISO image for MSDN and TechNet Plus members.

Cheers,

Yep...got that. It installed without incident. Leaves behind over 400 meg worth of debris in C:\WINDOWS\ServicePackFiles (the usual place for that in XP)

Win XP SP3 Impact list

#5 Post by Peter_Peril » Fri Apr 25, 2008 1:06 pm

I recently acquired a T30 and have been consciencently upgrading software and hardware as best I can. XP3 gives me pause for concern though. XP is working fine on my TP so I'm reluctant to apply the update.

To get to the point of the post. Would an impact list be useful for would adopters of SP3. Usually I wouldn't be overly concerned with things like this; however-- I've developed a healthy skepticism with MS over the years. Since they have announced that XP is approaching it's EOL; my rudimentary consumer brain thinks it's a way to implant a parting kick in our collective gnads :x
