Hi, all. I apologize that this is slightly off topic, but it is still relevent nonetheless. I just installed an Atheros AGN card in my x60s, and it works fine with no BIOS mods (as expected). I am able to power it on and off via Fn+F5. However, the LED indicator no longer lights up at all. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately, not an answer but I'm interested in how you installed the AGN card.

Was it straight forward and what about fitting the antenna?

Well to answer my own question, it seems that the WiFi LED indicator does indeed work, it just takes a minute or so before it turns on... Bizarre. In other words, When I turn the radio on via Fn+F5, the radio works immediately, but the indicator takes some time before it turns on.

@ CyberDude: As for your question, it extremely simple to install the card. You just have to remove the keyboard (4 screws) and the upper case (6 screws). As for the 3rd antenna, I didn't install it in the LCD bezel. I just used a third party anntena and installed under the keyboard. I couldn't be bothered removing the LCD panel.

That's interesting. And you had no problems with the bios accepting the AGN card? I read that the X60s bios won't accept the card. If it does then that's great and I'll be doing the mod fairly soon.

The Atheros AGN card works without a modded BIOS in an x60s. However, the Intel AGN card needs Zender's modded BIOS for it to work on an x60s.
