This comparison of tech support experiences from various notebook manufacturers was posted today over at NotebookReview:

Sadly, Lenovo didn't seem to do so well. They suggested an entire CD/DVD drive replacement as the fix for a disc stuck in the drive.

I've had positive, as well as negative, experiences with Lenovo tech support since my first ThinkCentre, and now, ThinkPad, but this particular suggestion struck me (as well as the reviewer) as a bit oddball...

The few times I've had to call have been mostly positive. That said, they are VERY quick to encourage either sending it to the depot or sending out a new replacement part...they must not like to spend a whole lot of time on the phone :lol:
