Access IBM applications group

I rebuilt a T43 from the R&R Product Recovery CD set yesterday, then thanks to help I received here got the Type-Model number reset and then had joy with System Update getting all the ThinkVantage and other updates up to date.

I question the need for the group of apps under the Programs > Access IBM label, specifically:

IBM Client Security Solution > Install Client Security
Access IBM
Access IBM Message Center
Create Recovery Disks
Create Rescue Media
IBM Access Help
IBM Active Protection
IBM Registration
IBM Registration on Internet
IBM Rescue & Recovery

Also, the ThinkVantage Technologies advertisement seems dated.

All of these things seem obsolete to me. I was going to Remove all of it unless I'm being too hasty.

My T60 doesn't have these any more as I recall. New version 8 of Client Security Solution and a new version of Rescue and Recovery seem to be available from System Update.

ThinkVantage Active Protection replaces IBM Active Protection, the Registration apps can't be necessary.

Any other observations before I shoot myself in the foot?

I usually delete those same programs and replace them with what's available in System Update.

this may be a little off the subject but where can I purchase the Recovery CD's for my T-40 2373, and how much did they cost?
