Wireless presenter with laser pointer IMPOSSIBLE to find?

#1 Post by makeitcount » Sun Apr 27, 2008 5:03 am

Im looking for a professional wireless presenter with a laser pointer mainly to be used for PowerPoint presentations. But its almost impossible to find any reviews on them, and I've only been able to find around 3 different kinds?! So therefore I turn to the trusty thinkpad forum once again.

I know that there is a mouse that has those capabilites as well, but its simply too big and too complictaed for him.

Do you have any wireless presenter devices you you can recommend? It must be able to control powerpoint slides and have a laser pointer.

Other than that, it doesnt hurt if it looks professional.

It's for a person who holds seminars for executives and anywhere from 2 to 200 people.

What is the best wireless presenter out there?

Please help!! Thank you =)

My boss has a Logitech device like this (back/forward buttons and a laser pointer). It seems to work pretty well. It's this one or one just like this.

Buddy of mine has a Microsoft bluetooth mouse with all the presenter stuff. Laser pointer, forward , stop and back, ect.
Works great with his T60P internal bluetooth.
It's not to small but smaller then a reg mouse.Comes with a hard form fitting case too.Very nice mouse. When the price comes down abit on them ,i'm picking one up.
I'm almost sure this is the one he has....

Hi guys, I already found the mouses that's not what I'm after. It should be a presenter with a laser pointer, not a full fledged mouse (too big, and too complicated!)

Thanks, but it's gotten really rotten reviews on amazon i believe (one of the only sites where I could find anything remotely like a review).

The Mogo is the thinnest peripheral I could find that has the features you are looking for ...

But if there's one thing the Macbook Air taught us, it's that thinness doesn't equal small overall size. I would imagine it's also questionably comfortable to hold in hand when not seated at a desk.

Kensington also make such a device.

Page has a link to a review of it and some other presenters.

Cheers,
Rob.

I picked the Logitech 2.4GHz Wireless presenter based on over 200 reviews on amazon, where it only got around 3 negative.

It still blows my mind that I was totally unable to find any comparison reviews on these things.

Thanks guys for the help =)

I use this mouse:

MS Wireless Notebook Presenter Mouse 8000. Cracking BT mouse, small and all the functions you want. Highly recommended.
