CD Reading Problem

I have a T61 with the CD/DVD Multi-Burner. Recently, I received a USB Phone that came with one of those "mini" CD's that have the manual and drivers on it. It appears to be a "burned" CD. My T61 will NOT read it The CD/DVD drive tries to read it, but it is not recognized.

However, if I plug in my old Lacie USB CD/RW Drive and put the "mini" CD in it, my T61 instantly can read it!

Do I have a problem? Does my Multi Burner neeed to be replaced. or is there a general problem with these drives reading these "mini" CD's ?

I think I got one of those mini-discs and it worked on my R60, but that's not the same drive. You'd think since the T61 is newer it would work. Since it's already a burned disc you could just rip and re-burn it. Do you think you're going to see a lot ofmini-discs?

yes.... have others with T61s and CD/DVD R/W drives been able to succesfully read these?
