#1 Post by shahram » Sat Dec 11, 2004 3:13 am

I have a T42 and when I scroll with the touch oad it automatically scrolls down the page. I am wondering whetehr there could be any problem with touchpad or there is a problem with settings.
Thanks

Make sure you are using the current version of the UltraNav driver. All drivers for a T42 can be found here:
http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... MIGR-55386

Note also a BIOS and embedded controller update...(doesn't have to do with your issue, but I would apply them anyway).

Best way to install/update your T42...

Download and EXTRACT (run the executable) all the drivers for the T42. DO NOT ACTUALLY INSTALL DRIVERS JUST YET. Let them go to the default directory

Download and install the Thinkpad Software Installer (its at the link I posted above). Go to the subdirectory it extracts to, run SETUP.EXE. Then run the Thinkpad Software Installer (Start>All programs>Access IBM> Thinkpad software installer

Let it update all the drivers for you. This is not update connector...this is much better. It will properly update the already downloaded UNAV driver, plus a lot more. You control what it will update.

Check out the settings for touch pad in control panel -> mouse -> UltraNav and then touch pad settings. There's loads of things you can do with your touch pad including the size of the scrollable area.
