screen not showing full size???

screen not showing full size???

i have a thinkpad 380ED and i just formatted it and now the screen is about half the size.

how can i get the full screen to come back???

It's either in your display settings (right click on the viewable windows and select "properties" and then click on the right, top tab, "settings." Then you'll see where you need to increase size), or the proper drivers for your display are not loaded. If the latter is the case, they may be in the "Drivers" folder at C:\Drivers, or you'll have to go to the IBM website and download and install them. The simple answer to your question is, "Yes!."

Also, make sure your Windows display settings are set to your laptops native display resolution. On the 380ED the resolution is 800x600. If the resolution is lower than that, it will not display across the entire screen.

Setting your screen size to the highest setting possible for the 380 series renders it to be at the 800x600 resolution.

I think it's pretty much safe to assume any 12.1 inch screen on a ThinkPad is going to display at 800x600. The ThinkPad 760XD and a few late model 760E's and ED's made after September of 1996 are exceptions.
