Coming out of stand-by and non-functioning keyboard...

#1 Post by atlacatl » Sat Dec 11, 2004 9:37 am

In the last week or so, every once in a while, I come out of stand-by and the first time I use the keyboard (hit any key), the keyboard nor the mouse doesn't respond anymore.

The weird thing is that the "Fn-<any special skey>" works, so I go to stand-by ("Fn-F4") and then use the mouse to restart the computer.

Anyone experience this behaviour?

Something like that used to happen on my old HP laptop. I always figured it was some timing issue with standby. I could always re-enter standby, and resume again, and the second time around the keyboard would work :/

Make sure you have updated the firmware of the embedded controller program, the BIOS, and the Power management driver. All can be obtained here:
