How to keep R&R partition when re-install WinXP

#1 Post by lawrencecn » Sat May 03, 2008 9:14 pm

I am thinking of buying a Z61t with vista home or win XP home, and re-install Win XP (I can buy XP professional academic version for $10 in my university bookstore) .

My question: can I keep the R&R partion & Acess IBM function if I re-install WinXP? Should I have to give up these functions?

I'd say the answer is no. If you install vanilla XP pro on that machine you will no longer be able to access the recovery partition.
