Thinkpad T23 - "Fan Error" on BIOS boot

This mean the CPU fan failed? Any way to boot with this error so I can get some data off?

Anyone have experience with this?
I'm assuming IBM will replace the machine under warrenty?

If under warranty, call 800-IBM-SERV, have the Machine type model and serial number ready. Do the "depot" service where they send you a prepaid mailer.
