Hi,
I'm a USA thinkpad owner in South America for at least a couple more months. I have a T23 with 3 year warrenty where it says "Fan Error" and won't boot (just gives bios message, refues to load OS).
I have another spare unit, so I'm usiing it for now. However, before I call IBM for srevice -- what can I expect?
I am not in a major city, I am in Arica which is a small city I'm sure IBM does not have a local office.
Worst comes to worst I can have it replaced next visit to the States.
Again, I'm not seeking "just phone IBM" - I'm seeking anyone with practical experience in such a situation.
Thank you.
Experience with repair while overseas (South America, Chile)
