Okay, I know my X60t's SD reader won't boot directly. However, I'm wondering if it'd be possible to boot to Grub on my internal HDD and then select an entry for the SD card, and boot to it from there.
Anyone know if this is possible? Is this stupid?
Thanks!
Installing an OS on SD card...
Re: Installing an OS on SD card...
Someone should correct me, but I think it has firmware that has to be loaded by the OS before the reader can even be accessed. I think that was the only way people with Linux were able to even run it from within the OS. I'm not sure if you could do that before the OS ever loads. Maybe you could load part of the OS, bring the SD card up, and then load what you need off the SD card.Tu13es wrote:Okay, I know my X60t's SD reader won't boot directly. I have no idea how you might do these things.
