WWAN Sierra card and non-working dial-up windows program

#1 Post by and801 » Tue May 06, 2008 6:07 pm

hi guys,

recently I bought X61 Tablet (7764-CTO), very nice tool ... with one exception.
there is a WWAN Sierra Card (originally locked with ATT) factory installed-in. the problem is I cannot used standard windows vista dial-up connection program to dial in to my GSM provider (the card was later sim-unlocked). with dial-up program I get error message 619. on the other hand I have no problems with Communication Manager supplied by ATT. then everything works smoothly.
funny thing is all settings are exactly the same, no differences. I would not raise that, but I like ThinkVantage Access Connections very much, but without working dial-up it is useless.

any ideas ? has anybody come across similar issue ?
