I very recently received my T61p and an Advanced Mini-dock. Undocking from the mini-dock has been a bit problematic. The most persistent problem has been that, when I press the first undocking button, the resolution switches to 640x480 on my docked monitor. Pressing the second undocking button releases the T61p and allows the video to switch back to the T61p's screen. The resolution then goes to the to the proper 1920x1200, but now any windows I had open are shrunk and have to be resized.
I think I found a workaround, but I'm not sure it's a good one. If I don't press the first undock button but instead go straight to the second undock button, the resolution doesn't switch.
Could I damage my T61p by not using the first undock button? Any better solutions to this problem out there?
T61p, Advanced Mini-dock, and Resolution Switch on Undocking
Don't know if this will help, but Lenovo released a new bios for the T61 and T61p, I think BIOS version 2.17. This BIOS release has been proven at my work place to solve several graphics related issues.
Previously my company had BIOS 2.10 and upgrading to 2.17 on T61s and T61ps with external display and stand by issues has thost types of issues disappear.
