Two quick questions...

1) Do the X61 and X61T take the same 4 cell battery or are they different?

2) I remember reading about a tablet note taking app, I think written by someone at IBM where you can take notes, add hyperlinks and so on, iirc it was free too. I searched but couldn't find it again, can someone remind me what it was?

The batteries are different, both the 4 cell and 8 cell version. (The Tablet version has a cutout to accommodate the screen swivel.)

You might be thinking of InkSeine (http://research.microsoft.com/inkseine/), from Microsoft Research.
