Wireless and Bluetooth issues

#1 Post by codeblue2k » Wed May 07, 2008 12:59 pm

Ok so I have been working on trying to fix an issue with my wireless and Bluetooth for 2 days now. Any help you can give me would be great.

When I first login to XP I get a "Found New Hardware" window and I cant seem to figure out it is. I thought it might be the security chip, but the window still pops up after I disabled it in the BIOS.

So then I started poking around and it seems like my bluetooth card isnt working as it should. But when I hit Fn-F5 it says my Bluetooth is powered on even though the BLuetooth icon in the systray says there is no device installed.

Then I noticed that when I hit Fn-F5 my wireless card isnt listed at all. But yet the windows wireless connection in the systray says im connected to my access point.

So I have no idea as to whats going on. Anyone have any ideas??? Please help!! :)

Ok I figured out the Found New Hardware issue... After changing the SATA drive back to AHCI I still need to go in and point to the proper driver after the OS loads.

But im still having the Bluetooth and Wireless issue. Anyone have any ideas?
