Lines on X61s screen

Just got an X61s and there are faint thin diagonal lines on the screen surface that are really only noticeable with a white background. Is this normal? Looks pretty different from my X61 and the default color tones are much warmer.

i had the SAME PROBLEM with an X61s I had last fall. I posted the issue and nobody responded. I ended up returning it. It was very annoying after a while.

If you do a search a few others have discussed the issue. It is a defect IMHO that is common to the X61s with ULTRALIGHT screen.

Thanks for the reply. I have never heard of it before now and don't know how it can be deemed an acceptable quality. Won't be keeping it. I don't see that much difference in brightness anyway, just the color tone is different.

I think I can see what your talking about on mine. Thing is what other choice do you have? The x61s screen sucks really bad compared to every other laptop. At least it is matt finish

I have to get real close to teh screen to see the lines I'm usualy more than a foot away and I cant seem them at any distance...
