WPC300N ADAPTER TROUBLE

#1 Post by redbellie » Thu May 08, 2008 7:13 pm

Good day Forum Members,

I am using a T23 which I installed a WPC300N to hook up with a WRT150N wireless router. Every thing worked fine about a month but now the card is powered down ever 3 minuets..it is like clock work..I used the Linksys software but uninstalled it and just used the driver for the adapter and now use Access Connections to handel it thinking maybe that would help but it does not. Any help would be much appreciated...Thanks in advance..

Welcome to the forum, neighbor!

Have you tried just using Windows to manage the wireless connection?

Thanks for your reply tfflivemb2..

I don't know about that....I uninstalled the adapter software and just installed the driver for the card and then let windows find my network and hooked up from there..I did not go thru the Wireless Network Wizard...
OK..I just ran the Windows Wireless Network and it still powers down the adapter after 3 minuets...just as it has for days now..I can not understand why it worked for so long and then suddenly it goes south on me..Could it have anything to do with trying to re-establish a wired network connection to my downstairs router that I have used prior to going wireless upstairs...I have a Photography Studio downstairs and I used the T23 on a wired network for file sharing with my workstation PC and for web use...now that I think about it..that may be when the problems started..but I am a new born to this wireless so I am at the mercy of this contraption...Thanks for the input..
