Sound Volume on T60p

#1 Post by reid210 » Fri May 09, 2008 10:24 am

Does anyone know of any method to increase the playback audio sound on my t60p (besides the normal audio volume/ master volume control)? My playback volume is extremely low even at full volume. I have been using external speakers so i can at least hear a movie and/or songs. Thanks

I just adjusted my Wave level (Start > Control Panel > Sounds & Audio Devices > Volume > Advanced) yesterday, to good effect. You might also try Speaker Volume settings on the same tab. That said, I sure doesn't seem to go as loud as my T42s . . .

Your media player might also have options to increase volume. VLC, for example, allows you to go up to 200% of volume, though it does get more distorted at the max.

I seem to remember having a volume issue on a previous Thinkpad (X31 or T41, can't remember which), and it was subsequently much louder after a BIOS update. So if enough people complained about it, perhaps they'd include this fix in the next BIOS version.
