The question is in the subject line. My net connection is decent (usually), and my machine is current. So why does ThinkVantage system update act like it's connecting through a 14400 baud modem? I half expect to hear that good old scratchy noise that those modems made during the handshaking phase.
I'd think a slick outfit like Lenovo or IBM would understand how much their customers value speed and time-saving.
