Firefox error

#1 Post by unary » Sun Dec 12, 2004 7:32 pm

Firefox 1.0 gives this error message:

The instruction at ox6009874a reference memory at 0x00000019. The memory could not be read.

It happens several times per day. I tried to reinstall Firefox but it doen't work.

Thanks!

Have you tried completly removing your old firefox installation (including profile) before attempting a fresh install (and fresh download) of FFox 1.0?

I ran into some strange things with Firefox after I upgraded until I went into C:\Documents and Settings\All users\Application Data or was it the Local folder...anyway, poke around in there....you'll see a folder for firefox.

First uninstall your current application, then go and delete the folder I mention above and then reinstall firefox...this fixed all of my problems I was having with this program.

I deleted the profile folder and reinstalled Firefox. However, the error still exists. Anyway, Thank k3vb0t and MadeInJapan.

Try searching and deleting all you find related to Firefox (firefox & mozilla) after uninstalling in the C: drive and the registry before installing again with a fresh download..
