R50e Won't Power Up - Please Help

My Unit is R50e. My problem is, it won't turn on.
The last time I used it, it was running good. Before I went to sleep I closed the lid which I usually do then it "go SLEEP". I usually don't shut it off but I just closed the lid.
The next time I open the lid was 2 nights after. This time I noticed the light led at the lid are not turn on. I tried to turn it on by pressing the button on/off but it does not turn on.

I brought it to the IBM service center in downtown Bangkok. My laptop warranty has expired though. They tested it using their own ac adapter with and without the battery but still did not turn on. They told me that the main board has to be replaced. But the cost of the main board is so much that I could buy a new laptop with the same amount of the main board. Might be that it did not "sleep" when I close the lid but the fan turned off, so it overheated. Is there a fuse or reset button of the power supply in the main board.

Is there any other way to fix my laptop.

I had two of r50e .. First one froze.. I shut it down.. wont power up.. at all... for micro sec. I can see power led lit and then nothing.

The other one gives me trouble these days.. it can random power off and then you cannot start it again. I've read everyhing there is on this problem and it would seem like overcharged capacitor.. As for now no perament sollution. Right now it's working.. tomm. maybe not.. I hate it.

Warranty expired month or two ago.. just like old one.
