Error when entering BIOS

#1 Post by beGi » Thu May 15, 2008 7:28 am

When my R60 boots and I press F1 to enter BIOS, I get three beeps and message: ERROR 0211: KEYBOARD ERROR , and on the bottom of the screen is message: Press F1 to enter Setup. And when I press it again, it enters BIOS. Can anyone clarify that. Except that, keyboard works flawless..... Thanks.

It sounds like you might be holding the F1 button too long, and it is reporting a keyboard error, thinking that you have a stuck key. I have had similar errors in the past...

Thanks for quick reply.... I believe that's not the case here.... I've pressed it soft and quick  .... I hope it's not hardware malfunction, how do you comment this case with "short circuited by the single screw", it might be possible because my TP fell on asphalt few weeks ago (over one meter in height a.k.a four feet I believe)....
