Replacing SODIMM in T61p

#1 Post by mrnaz » Thu May 15, 2008 1:38 pm

I've replaced RAM in many laptops before, but I'm having a little trouble with the T61p. Are there any disassembly guides for this model? I'm a little timid to disassemble too far without being sure that I really can safely take out that screw that looks like removal may result in Bad Things.

Can anyone tell me how to get at the SODIMM bay in the T61p? I have 1gb ram and another stick here and I don't know how to put it in. It's very frustrating as you can imagine hehe.

Also, you may see the videos at Lenovo Service and Support Training - that site if full of very fine documentation!

- hey, sorry; I completely forgot my manners: Welcome to the forum, mate!

If I thought buying a ThiknPad was the best laptop purchase I've ever made before, the rapid availability of such comprehensive support makes me doubly certain of it now.

Glad to know I don't have to mess around on the phone with the manufacturer's incompetent support staff any more!

Thanks guys!
