#1 Post by lemmerdeur » Sat May 17, 2008 1:05 am

I am running Windows XP pro and now at shut down, I have rundll32.exe not responding. How can I get rid of that error? I tried Registry mechanic without success.

You'll need to identify the specific application associated with rundll32.exe first.

You may be able to use Microsoft Process Explorer to determine this, then troubleshoot the application that is not shutting down properly. If this issue is new, you may also be able to revert your system back to a previous System Restore point to see if it resolves the problem.

I found that it was my Battery maximiser for my TP 42 that had that application. I removed the batteries (main and secondary) and placed it back in and it seems to be ok now.

Unless you are running Windows NT on your T42, you should remove Battery MaxiMiser since it is not designed to run under Windows XP. Power Manager v1.22 is designed for Windows XP to monitor and manage battery/AC power functions.
