Printing Problem with a T20

#1 Post by jglen490 » Mon May 19, 2008 3:53 pm

I love my venerable, old T20 and run nothing but Linux (Kubuntu 7.10) on it. The only problem I have right now is with the USB printer (HP Deskjet 3450, internally a Deskjet 3420). I use HPLIP 2.7.12, and that may be the root of the problem, but every time I reboot, I lose the printer's configuration and need to go through the whole process in HPLIP of re-installing a printer. The folks at HPLIP's Lauchpad site couldn't figure it out, and I'm thinking it may be either a problem with the printer's hardware or a "feature" in the T20's USB 1.1 hardware.

Has anyone else had a problem like this?
I feel more like I do now than I did when I got here.
