:D I'm so excited. Thanks for that. Looks pretty firm to me, from my experiences of the same kind of school programs that revealed the T61.

Yeah, me too. Especially the new Intel integrated graphics chip sounds exciting. Finally bright LED screens!
2-3x performance of the Intel X3100 and very low power consumption.
Ahhh... a silent Thinkpad at last! Now I can put my trusty T40p to rest.

That's normal. For instance, a couple of years ago I got precise instructions what kind of notebook and software I had to purchase for business school. Today they will even refuse or charge for service on notebooks that have not been approved by CIO.

You can go thru different university student admission pages and see their recommendations. What is interesting, Apple beat Dell at Harvard, they have Thinkpads and Macbooks now. Interesting.

But that is not the release date. It's the date when they are clearly available for order for a special price for those students there.

The new T series will most likely be released at CompuTex Taipei, June 3-7. So my guess is we can expect it to be available for order in early June, though shipping times might not be quick.

bad news everyone....I just read today that there will be a delay, because intel has problems with their new chips...The normal delivering date was the 22.June, but now they expected to deliver on 14.Juli....In whole capacity they can deliver in august... :(

Ok, that was harsh. But I can imagine that heads will roll, if Lenovo again screws up the "back to school" program in August this year.
I heard, Intel is delaying because of the antenna and the FCC. They didn't follow the procedures correctly.

The only silver lining is for AMD's Puma platform. God knows AMD needs business.
