R40 keyboard on a T42?

I need to replace the keyboard on my T42 2373. Now someone is
auctioning off a non working R40 2722. It seems to go cheap.

The R40 is in another town so I would not be able to see it until after purchase.

I am only really after the keyboard. The picture of it looks very similar,
but would it actually fit?

This is my only question now. Ebay is not the answer.

No. Everything is different. The ribbon cable is different. Also, the T4x has screw fittings in entirely different places. I have one, and I ship to Sweden, but it is expensive to ship in relation to the price of the item.

Hey Lars, if you don't want to go the eBay route, why not place a WTB post in the Marketplace here? There are lots of Scandinavian members here who could probably hook you up with a T4x keyboard.

Yes it is, and I need a Swedish keyboard. The one I have works fine
but it is US and thus short of our å, ä and ö.
It actually has one key less than ours.
