Access to 9 pin com???
Access to 9 pin com???
I need to access to a 9 pin com port. I have tried using a DB25 to DB9 adapter, but that has not worked. This is the only connection possible (no USB). Any idea why the adapter would not work? I understand the 25 pin parallel port in the back of the T42 is identified as COM1, correct?
Thanks for the help.

No, com port is connected to docking connector, and you can use 9 pin com port in port replicator or docking station.MJC wrote:I need to access to a 9 pin com port. Sorry, I have no idea since I've never used one myself. I wouldn't have too much faith in the USB2COM drivers for such a specialized application, but it's cheap enough where it would probably be worth tryingw0qj wrote:> easiest way to get a working serial port may be

will this solution work for the Console (serial) cable for my NetScreen firewall for configuration purposes?
