Remove CD from bay without power

My battery is dead and I need to remove the CD from the docking bay. Is there a way to do this? I have poked a sharp tool into the recessed hole next to the CD eject blue button but that doesn't do it.

Try a straightened paper clip, it has to go in far enough to touch the release lever. That should work unless your drive is broken.
