Sound device problem

#1 Post by sistem » Sun Jun 01, 2008 8:54 am

My problem is that, I can't hear any sound.
When I go to the Audio devices settings it says that there is no sound device.
I just reformated my pc, because I had some problems, and I used a normal windows xp, because I'm waiting for the recovery disc.
I installed all windows and lenovo updates, and it still says that I have no sound device.
Can some one tell me how to fix it?

Thanks

you probably need to install Microsoft HD Audio Hotfix. Windows XP by default wont work with HD audio devices so you need that one.

UNless you have SP3 installed you have to install that first before you can even see the HD audio chip.
