FS: X31/1.4GHz Systems - Cheap(er)

I have some more X31/1.4GHz Thinkpads that are tested and ready to sell. Some of these have minor defects on the LCDs, so I am selling them more cheaply.

As usual, I am giving options to specify memory, hard-disk size, WiFi (802.11), and a new battery. For further information on what the X31 systems are like, please see the links below. None of these systems have warranty on them. I have thoroughly tested them and guarantee them to not be D.O.A. I will support any immediately occurring problems as best I can.

Each Thinkpad X31 comes with:
Genuine IBM ‘GREEN’ battery
Genuine IBM AC adapter
Hitachi Travelstar hard-drive (unless otherwise noted)
US keyboards (I have UK keyboards if desired – otherwise, I do not have access to non-US keyboards)
Windows XP Pro C.O.A. (unless otherwise noted)

”BARE” system price is with no memory, no hard-disk, only 802.11b WiFi
BARE -- STD -- System
$230 -- $280 -- X31-69, PM 1.4GHz, 512M/PC2700, 40G/5400rpm – Screen has a little ‘mottling’ (faint whitish areas) in the center of the screen. It is barely noticeable but is there.
--- SOLD --- X31-96, PM 1.4GHz, 512M/PC2700, 40G/5400rpm - LCD has one small white spot on the left side of the screen - send email address for pics
--- SOLD --- X31-97, PM 1.4GHz, 512M/PC2700, 40G/5400rpm - no LCD defects
--- SOLD --- X31-98, PM 1.4GHz, 512M/PC2700, 40G/5400rpm - LCD has one very small scratch (barely noticeable) in the middle of the screen - send email address for pics

All of the above systems are tested and ready to ship within one day after receipt of funds.

The casing will vary but will always be in very good to excellent condition unless otherwise noted. There will be no broken plastics, keyboards will show minimal to no wear; the screen will be very clean with no dead or stuck pixels.

About the X31/X32 series
All systems have a 12" XGA (1024 x 768) screen, two USB 2.0 ports (One on right side, one in back), an ethernet RJ-45 port with 2 LEDs, an RJ-11 modem port, a type II (5mm thick) Compact Flash slot, one IEEE 1394 (Firewire) port, one DB-15 external display, audio line in, audio line out, and microphone in ports, and a parallel printer port.

I have two ultrabases that each have problems that don't affect their operation.

On one, the battery latch is broken (on the back) - so you can't remove the battery cover or battery (if it were there). The ultrabase works fine other than that.

The other one has a rattle inside - like a piece of plastic is broken off. I can't figure what that is and everything otherwise works fine.

I would sell either of those for $30 with a DVD/CDRW.
