Feeler: loaded Thinkpad 240x
I'm pondering about selling my groovy 240x. It's a great little system but I rarely get to use it if at all. Specs:
1. Intel PIII 500MHz
2. 256MB RAM (full 256 showing)
3. 20GB disk
4. 10.4in screen SVGA screen (800x600)
5. almost new OEM battery, around 10 cycles
6. external floppy drive
7. Intel b wireless with antennas
8. 10/100 PCMCIA 3com network card
9. power supply
10. Windows 2000 SP4
Mods + extras:
1. Memory mod - now showing 256MB RAM. Has a nice brand new Kingston PC100 low density chip.
2. Intel wireless card with antennas already wired. Signal is decent. Have original miniPCI modem, can give that with machine
3. Can give the buyer a 10/100 3com network card. It has a pop-out rj-45 slot so can fit flush with the system when not in use.
4. T4x trackpoint cover in instead of the original T2x one because it's far more comfortable to use that way
The machine is practically like new. Looks like the original owner mostly let it sit because there is no wear on keyboard and barely any the rest of the system. Close to mint (to be safe).
I performed all the mods myself, they seemed to not affect anything negatively. There might be one dead pixel on LCD, I will have to check that to be sure. Aside from that machine is tip-top. Very light, portable with decent keyboard for its size. Way better than Eee PC's keyboard.
What do you guys think it's worth?

Definitely a tough call...I'm going to say $185-$225, depending on who's buying and where you're selling it...here, CL, eBay...
Good luck with whatever you choose to do with this fine classic ThinkPad.
