T61 Freezing Issues

#1 Post by pdaraei » Wed Jun 04, 2008 4:11 am

Hi All,

I just got a brand new T61 last week and so far everything has worked fine with my computer except for a freezing problem I run into about once a day. I'm running a T9300 on Vista (sp1) with 2 gigs RAM, turbo memory, wireless 4965 AGN. I don't have any random programs on my computer or anything either. My wireless is basically always on and I'm usually running on battery. The freezes are random and require a manual shutdown. When the computer freezes, the mouse still moves, but nothing is functional. I've heard so many problems about this Turbo Memory and I was wondering if it really is worth it to disable it (assuming that is the reason for the freezing). Does anybody have an idea on what is going wrong here?

Thanks

My T61 came with Vista but no SP1. It kept freezing randomly until I disabled Turbo Memory. After SP1 I tried TurboMem again, and it still make my T61 freeze. So it's off. :?
