I finally got to install Vista SP1 after waiting forever for it to show up in Windows Update. But it did, finally, and I installed it just like I was supposed to - no overriding of drivers or manual updates, just plain WU update. However, after this update I seem to have lost all the green on-screen graphics showing when caps lock is on, my volume level, etc. I know this happened to some of the people who updated to SP1 before it showed up in WU, possibly because of the manual, non-confirmed driver update. But it obviously happened also when updating "correctly."
Anybody have the same problem? I can live with it, but it would be good to get these things back - anybody know how to do this?
