FS: A31p project, works, has issues, inexpensive, worldwide
the basics:
ThinkPad A31p 2653-H3U
Original description:
P4-M 1.7GHz (512KB)
256MB RAM
60.0GB HDD...............................none
15.0 UXGA(1600x1200) TFT LCD
8x8x24x/8x CD-RW/DVD
Modem(CDC)
Ethernet(CDC)
IEEE 1394
TV out
Li-Ion battery...........in red, holds about 45% of the original charge
WinXP Pro................COA has been removed
No AC adapter
known imperfections and caveats:
- LCD is this machine's weakest point. It's not bright enough, and has numerous dark specs. In the long run, it should be replaced.
- CD-RW/DVD combo has a mind of its own, works when it wants to which is maybe 1 in 8 times. I'm including it but you're on your own with it.
- One USB port is busted
- Normal outside wear and tear for a machine of this generation, keyboard is somewhat shiny, but none of the letters are worn.
On the bright side, the systemboard seem to be an excellent one, and this alone is worth more than my asking price. This unit idles at well under 40 degrees Celsius which is excellent for any A31p, and has no checkered booting/scrambled screen/other GPU-related-nonsense that these ThinkPads are infamous for.
Asking $175 OVNO plus reasonable shipping. Your location will command the shipping price, and I do ship worldwide. Most payment methods are accepted.
Feel free to PM me for high-resolution pictures, or with any questions/concerns that you might have.
