t43 motherboard repair recs

Hi,

Please comment re: I have a t43 that the shop worked on, replacing some electrical components around power conn to external ac cord, but they said motherboard needed replacement, cost more than $500. Before it went out entirely the display would flicker as it came up, but one day it totally died. Lenovo does not do repair themselves or I would consider that.

I am not sure what you are saying. Did Lenovo perform the repair? If so there should be no reason why there is any problem. If not then I could understand why.
