Dual head (extended mode) on T61 with preloaded SLED

#1 Post by d.rey » Tue Jun 10, 2008 2:36 am

Has anybody been able to set up extended-mode multi-monitoring (dual head) on the T61 with the preloaded SUSE SLED Linux? Can you comment on the setup? Xinerema is greyed out

Thanks in advance,
Daniel.

The SLED preload for x61's only comes on units with the Intel x3100 card.

I was not able to get dual head to work with my T61 and Ubuntu Hardy. How does XRandR help? Its description didn't look that promising.

You can use XRandR to resize and rotate your screen on the fly.

To see if any monitors are hooked up:

Code: Select all

xrandr -q
To extend to one side:

Code: Select all

xrandr --output VGA --auto --left-of LVDS
