I use the vista session memory to stop and start work

And I keep having weird issues? Like this time when i tried to restart it booted up with thiinkvantage rescue and recovery 4 and before that there was a blue screen saying something about recovering files.

And over the last week I got a screen to start windows normally. Is there something I am doing wrong. I almost always use the vista session saver brown button to suspend my work and return to it. but its just not working properly. Should I just shut off and turn on laptop everytime, leave it running?
