t60p widescreen - wandering lit pixel

#1 Post by thatcrazycommie » Wed Jun 11, 2008 2:37 pm

I've had my t60p for about a year, and for much of that time I've noticed that there is frequently one lit pixel (stuck on white), but that it's never the same pixel. I can usually fix it with a few minutes on killdeadpixel.com, but another one will show up in a little while. There are stretches of time with no pixel problems at all but the trouble always eventually comes back. I'm wondering if this is some sort of known issue with t60p or widescreen t60p LCDs, and if it's worth trying to submit this under warranty to get the screen replaced.

Update touchpad driver via Lenovo System Update. It is not a LCD failure but software bug.

Specifically, update the UltraNav driver.

That does seem to have solved it. Thanks! I never would have guessed it was the touchpad driver.
