2 thoughts:

1) Why don't you use your T61p's LCD as well, in extended desktop mode?
2) If you're plugging that much in, it may be worthwhile to invest in a dock of some sort.

1. I could do that.
2. The advanced mini-dock costs $220 from lenovo, it's not really worth it because I only need to plug in keyboard and mouse, stereo output, and monitor.
