Thailand keyboard is absolutely out of this world....
Battery Life is the best i've ever used because of the 9 cell.
I love the 14 inch screens because this ibm laptop is durable & light.
Very pleased with IBM......

Oh yes, IBM thinkpads er the best
I'm also extremely happy with mine. The design, the screen, the keyboard, the way everything just works - and the last but not least... the build quality! It's excellent! Acer, ASUS, Toshiba, Dell and Compaq - they all feel like they were bought in a toyshop when compared to these laptops
Only downside is the price - but hey, you get what you pay for

You had an alienware laptop? How was the build quality of that? I was actually considering purchasing one before I decided on the 2373-P1U....
I have an alienware area 51 desktop PC that I bought 2+ years ago... Still works great!

T42P (2373-P1U) | Pentium M 765 - 2.1ghz | 1GB RAM | 60GB 7200rpm HDD | 14.1 SXGA+(1400x1050) TFT LCD | 128MB ATI FireGL T2 | CD-RW/DVD-R Multi-Burner | IBM 802.11a/b/g wireless(MPCI) | Bluetooth/Modem(CDC)
Well I have The Area-51m and if you take a look at some of the complaints in the support forums for their laptops many have to do with overheating. The newer models have a issue where the fps in games is really low and technical support just keeps replacing the gfx cards yet NOW they think its a design engineering issue. How much does that suck as a customer to be told that your 3,000$ laptop overheats because we designed all of them wrong.
I've had mine for two years... Its just simply loud/obnoxious, when I was transfering files to my new IBM the sound difference was big. It also gives off a lot of heat and weighs a lot - although it is a desktop replacement.
My friend just bought the 12.1" Sentia and upon arrival the disk drive was making weird noises. They replaced it but their products are packed well (therefore i doubt shipping ruined it) and that provides further proof that their 101 point satisfaction test is B.S.
You know what was really funny? When I first got my Alienware laptop part of my checklist they gave me for testing was "Make Sure Any CD Is Removed Before Packing". Someone checked it off as yes but upon arrival I had a rap music mix cd in my drive.
Aside from that, there is a lot of flex and its kind of built like a toys 'r' us toy.

Nice, does the Thai keyboard come with all laptops or is it special. How does it differ from the chinese one?
Im getting a new keyboard, and am deciding between the Thai and Chinese

Yeah they should be able to ship to your hotel. Thats a funny way of going about getting the thailand keyboard. I would call up and have them ship me one but I have one installed on my model. Try ebay?
