X61T and Crumpler Breakfast Buffet bag ???

#1 Post by 3MOG » Thu Jun 12, 2008 4:56 am

I'm going to order Crumpler breakfast buffet bag for my 8-cell X61T. The problem is: tech specs said the laptop sleeve is 11.4 x 9.4 x 1.4", which is a bit smaller than the tablet (10.8 x 10.5 x 1.3" referred to TAbook). However, I heard that Crumpler does tolerate their bag dimensions so I'm not sure if my tablet might be able to fit in. Any idea?

PS:
I also consider small skivvy but prefer the breakfast bag because of vertical orientation and more rooms.

The Crumpler Skivvy in small is a perfect/snug fit (in that you wouldn't want a bag any smaller) for an 8-cell X61t. So I guess you could compare the quoted internal dimensions of the breakfast bag with that ..?

EDIT: just checked the breakfast bag dimensions. that 9.4" edge is going to prevent the 8-cell from fitting properly. I guess you would need a Luncheon.

I have a Crumpler Breakfast Buffet. My X61t fits perfectly. I can post pictures if you'd like.

There's something you should know that I found out the hard way--there are multiple revisions of the Breakfast Buffet, and not all fit the X61t. Do _not_ rely on the dimensions unless the revision number is also stated. I think I have revision 3, that I bought from the Crumpler retail store in NYC.

I don't like The Luncheon as it looks too big for casual office use IMHO (5' 9" I am). Skivvy small might be next option but I would miss some room for my daily supplies. :(

I love to see how X61T fit in the breakfast bag. Pictures are appreciated.

It seems like I can't just order online, but need to take the tablet to retail store and check if it would properly fit the bag, right? *sigh* :?
