T23 - Fedora9 Wireless inactive

#1 Post by agurjakeh » Fri Jun 13, 2008 1:23 pm

I am a Linux newbie who is excited to have installed and begun to configure my T23 to dual boot W2K and Fedora9. I initially had problems getting X server to run but downloaded the updated package for the Savage display adapter and I'm good. But...
I cannot for the life of me get the wireless to work. Again, I'm a noob so it might be something basic. Presently, I cannot even activate the interface through the Fedora GUI...it's grayed out?

Am willing to try various suggestions and post as required. Thanks in advance. Can't wait to dive in deeper.

First off the type of wireless card you have is needed. Do you know what card you have?

# lspci -v

should list different hardware devices. One of them will be your wireless card.
