Keyboard on a T30 goes mad

#1 Post by QSECOFR » Sat Jun 14, 2008 5:11 am

Hi,

on my other Thinkpad, i get following situation.
When windows goes up, it sends a lot of beeps. No Bios Signals.
If i move the trackpoint on the touchpad, or make a double click on the touchpad, all actions go very slowly. Also if i cross with the arrow some icons the get mark on the desktop and all the applications getting startet.
With other OS like linux i get the same problem. Could it be, that the keyboard hardware hangs up.

Thanks and greetings
Achim

Welcome to the Forum.
Sound like you have some 'stuck' key(s) in your keyboard.
Download PC Doctor and see what's wrong.

If you know how to, open it up and re-seat the keyboard.
Or try your KB in another from the same type.

Does it not work when you put the old keyboard back in? I had a problem with a dead touchpad left click on an R40 that was causing things to click at random. I had to disable the touchpad in the BIOS so that the one for the trackpoint would work properly.
